Savory Maine's open mic night, held the second Wednesday of each month is coming up on March 9 from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. In case of snow, open mic will be rescheduled for March 16.

Open mic is a series of eight-minute, two-song slots designed for individual or small group performances by musicians, singers, poets, etc. To be assured of a time slot, performers should sign up from 6 to 6:15 p.m. and be prepared to set up quickly. Amplification isn't necessary due to Savory Maine's great acoustics. There is one 15-minute break during the evening

At this writing a featured act/group has not been scheduled – but that could change.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for food – quiche, haddock chowder, soup – and refreshments - beer, wine, coffee and tea – available for purchase throughout the night.

Savory Maine is located at 11 Water Street in Damariscotta. Lunch and dinner is served from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. five days a week (closed Tuesday and Wednesday).
