A celebration of a life well-lived will take place at the Edgecomb Community Church on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 11 a.m. John W. Howard died Sept. 17, 2015  in Vero Beach, Florida at the age of 90. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alice V.L. Howard, and his  children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John worked well into his 80s and spent his final years in the sunshine of Vero Beach, and fishing the Sheepscot River, with his wife, Allie, and extended family.
