Bay Chamber Concerts will present the first of four Music@Noon concerts on Wednesday, Oct. 19 in the library of the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland. Music@Noon offers an intimate concert experience along with a light lunch provided by Atlantic Baking Co., and free admission to the museum following the show.

Performers in the first concert are violinist Robert Lehmann and pianist Anastasia Antonacos, both of whom are members of the faculty at the University of Southern Maine (USM). Lehmann and Antonacos have designed a dazzling program of Ravel's jazz infused “Sonata No. 2 in G Major, Op. 77,” Prokofiev's moving and brooding “Violin Sonata No. 1 in F Minor, Op. 80,” and Manuel Ponce's “Estrellita” arranged by Jascha Heifetz.

Lehmann, of Portland, is associate professor of music and director of Strings and Orchestral Activities at the USM School of Music. In addition, he is music director of the Portland Chamber Orchestra, the North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra, and the White Mountain Bach Festival in New Hampshire. Robert Lehmann is also the conductor of the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra.

An alumna of the USM School of Music, Anastasia Antonacos has given notable performances around the world as a solo recitalist and chamber musician. She has played at venues such as the Salle Cortot, Casa Orfeo, Holland's Alkmaar Conservatory, and Alice Tully Hall. She has also played in various places in the U.S., including Washington D.C., where she testified for funding for the National Endowment for the Arts.
