"The Girl on the Train" Commuter Rachel Watson (Emily Blunt) catches daily glimpses of a seemingly perfect couple, Scott and Megan, from the window of her train. One day, Watson witnesses something shocking unfold in the couple's backyard.
Rachel tells the authorities after learning that Megan is now missing and feared dead. Unable to trust her own memory, the troubled woman begins her own investigation, while police suspect that Rachel may have crossed a dangerous line.
The screenplay, based on Paula Hawkins' 2015 debut novel, was written by Erin Cressida Wilson and directed by Tate Taylor. Rated R. Plays Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.
Join “Doctor Strange” on his dangerous, mystifying, and totally mind-bending journey. This is the story of the world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands.
When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place - a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality.
Before long Strange - armed with newly acquired magical powers - is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence.
The film also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor. “Doctor Strange” is rated PG 13. It plays at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 through Saturday, Nov. 5; Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2 and 7 p.m.

“The Light Between Oceans” A lighthouse keeper and his wife living off the coast of western Australia raise a baby they rescue from an adrift rowboat. Based on the acclaimed novel by M.L. Stedman, “The Light Between Oceans,” is a heart-breaking drama about fate, love, moral dilemmas and the lengths to which one couple will go to see their dreams realized. The Bolshoi Ballet: “The Bright Stream” Alexei Ratmansky invokes the genius of Shostakovich's score at the Bolshoi, creating a laugh-out-loud masterpiece with its bits of slapstick comedy, hilarious deceptions, false identities including Principal Dancer Ruslan Skvortsov dressed as a Sylph and its many colorful characters! The Bolshoi bursts with vivid life and bright spirits in Ratmansky's brilliantly choreographed smash hit. (2 hours, 30 minutes) Playing Sunday, Nov. 6 at 1 p.m.
“Do Not Resist” An urgent and powerful exploration of the rapid militarization of the police in the U.S., starting on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri, as the community grapples with the death of Michael Brown, this film offers a stunning look at the current state of policing in America and a glimpse into the future. Not rated. Playing Thursday, Nov. 10 at 2 and 7 p.m.
LCCT's latest production, "Indoor/Outdoor," a play by Kenny Finkle, is slated for the weekend of Friday, Nov. 18. As the play is a comedy about a house cat, Samantha, who finds herself torn between her affection for a human companion, a nebbishy graphic designer named Shuman, and her attraction to a sexy tomcat. Performances: Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2 and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m.
Two dollars ($2) of every ticket purchased for the opening night performance will be donated to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter. The play is not suitable for young children.
