“The Crown” - In episode 7, “Scientia Potentia Est,” as the Soviets test the H-bomb, both Churchill and Eden have major health crises. Angry about her inadequate education, Elizabeth hires a tutor.  In episode 8, “Pride & Joy,” Elizabeth and Phillip go on an exhausting world journey. “Manchester by the Sea” - One of the season’s most highly acclaimed films. After the death of his older brother Joe (Kyle Chandler), Lee Chandler (Casey Affleck – winner of the Golden Globe for best performance by an actor) is shocked to learn that Joe has made him sole guardian of his nephew Patrick (Lucas Hedges).

Taking leave of his job, Lee reluctantly returns to Manchester-by-the-Sea to care for Patrick, a spirited 16-year-old, and is forced to deal with a past that separated him from his wife Randi (Michelle Williams) and the community where he was born and raised. Bonded by the man who held their family together, Lee and Patrick struggle to adjust to a world without him. Rated R. The Northeastern by Eastern Combining Eastern Illustrating and Publishing Company’s comprehensive collection of early 20th century photographs with archival film footage, interviews, oral histories, a musical soundtrack featuring period music, as well as an original score by Sumner McKane, performed live on stage. These stories and images illustrate an era unlike any other in American history. Playing Saturday, Jan. 28 at 2 p.m.

National Theatre Live: “Amadeus” Music. Power. Jealousy. Lucian Msamati (Luther, Game of Thrones, NT Live: The Comedy of Errors) plays Salieri in Peter Shaffer’s iconic play, broadcast live from the National Theatre, and with live orchestral accompaniment by Southbank Sinfonia.
