New art show at The First in Boothbay Harbor
Artists Patricia Binette and Ann Rhinehardt will have an exhibition of their paintings at The First bank in Boothbay Harbor for the months of February and March. Both artists are members of the Boothbay Region Art Foundation.
Binette is a founding member of the Waterville Area Art Society and currently serves as secretary. Working in a variety of mediums and experimenting with different techniques stimulates her creativity. She has also been teaching art to students in her home for over 25 years. While sharing her knowledge of art is rewarding, her students give her a great deal of strength and inspiration. For more about the artist visit www.earthspiritstudiomaine.com.
Rhinehardt’s art reflects her strong connection to nature, exploring organic forms and their energies through color, shape, light and shadow. Like Binette, she works in a variety of media, developing new skills and a deeper level of expression. For this exhibit, Ms. Rhinehardt has chosen a selection of encaustic or beeswax paintings. She is the president of the Waterville Area Art Society and has served as its vice president for a number of years. For more on this artist, visit www.annerhinehardt.com.
The First bank is located at 77 Oak Street. The public is invited to view the exhibit during business hours Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 am to noon.
