Cynthia Dianne Brown, 76, of Edgecomb died at Eastern Maine Medical Center March 6, 2017 after a long illness.

She was predeceased by son, Kenneth Allen Brown of Edgecomb, her mother, Marjorie MacDonald and stepfather, Kenneth MacDonald.

Cynthia was a licensed beautician and after the children left, worked for many years for the Miles Memorial Hospital group. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cloth art, traveling and Bingo.

She leaves here husband of 58 years, Robert R. Brown of Edgecomb; a daughter, Dianne M. Pierce of Newport, Maine; a daughter-in-law, Evilen Brown of Edgecomb; six grandchildren, Mike Gustafson Jr. of Dexter, Maine, Nickolas Gustafson of South Portland, Maine, Andy Wolf of Orono, Maine, Jeanna Gustafson of Edgecomb, James Brown of Edgecomb, and Karen Brown Edgecombe of Portland, Maine; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn Smith of Bath, Maine; and brother, Paul MacDonald of Oregon.

There will be no funeral. A remembrance of her life will be held in the spring.
