Women’s History Month art presentation
Celebrate Women’s History Month by attending “American Women in Art” at Schooner Cove on Monday, March 27 from 2-3:30 p.m. The presentation will be led by professional artist Anne Heywood.
This fun and educational presentation will introduce you to nine American female artists who lived from the mid-19th to the mid-20th century. Learn how their contributions in painting, sculpture, and photography have influenced American Art through the ages.
The presentation will include female artists who were prominent in their time, some who are still well-known today and others who have been somewhat overlooked in recent history.
Heywood is an American realist known for modern and traditional landscapes, still life, and pet portraiture. Her paintings can be found in both national and international corporate and private collections.
This event is free and open to the public.
