Thomas H. Davis
Thomas H. Davis of Wiscasset died March 29, 2017 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Tom suffered a massive heart attack from which he did not recover. He was 57 years old.
Originally from Farmington, New Hampshire, he was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Christine Davis.
Tom attended Farmington Senior High School and received his bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of Southern Maine. For many years of his life Tom worked in the seafood and manufacturing industry before moving on to a career supporting those who struggled with addiction, helping them through their recovery.
Tom and his former wife of 19 years, Caroline Clare Davis, raised their children, Meredith Kendrick Davis, 30, and James P. Davis, 25 in Wiscasset. Meredith and Jimmy both currently reside in Portland.
Tom coached Jimmy's rec basketball and baseball teams as well as his Babe Ruth baseball team. He was very supportive of Meredith's involvement in WHS' drama program. Tom was proud of all of his children's accomplishments.
Tom also leaves behind three beloved children from his first marriage to Lorna Davis. Aaron Davis, 33, lives in Connecticut; Jennifer Davis, 34, lives in Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Dan Davis, 37, his wife Lauren and their three children Jada, 14, Haley, 10, and Connor, 2, live in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He also leaves his sister Holly White of Wiscasset; his nieces Laura White and Cara Kilton; his sister Heidi Davis Lumia; brother-in-law Taylor Lumia and their children Alex and Michaela; and his brother Timothy Davis and his daughter Patience.
Tom was predeceased by his longtime girlfriend Janice Pelletier.
A very spiritual and loving human being, Tom was fond of this quote from Ken Wapnick, "We do not make ourselves spiritual, but rather let the spiritual come to us in its own time, when we are ready."
There will be a celebration of Tom's life at the Wiscasset Community Center on Sunday, April 9, from 3-5 p.m.
