Margaret “Margie” Harris, 97, of Cross Point Road, Edgecomb, died at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, Maine, on the morning of May 15, 2017.

Margaret was formerly of New Jersey and Massachusetts.

She was well known for needle crafts and embroidery, and for her love of elephants, and collected elephant items. She belonged to Knox-Lincoln Cooperative Extension for 30 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, James Harris, and two sons, Douglas Newitt and Thomas Newitt.

Margaret is survived by a niece, Cheryl Murdock of Dunnellon, Florida, as well as one nephew and three nieces.

At Margaret’s request there will not be any service.
