During the last week of October at Boothbay Region Adult Ed you can learn to take great photos with your digital camera. Then follow up in a computer class Organizing, and Sending your photos. Learn about elder law and estate planning with Chip Griffin. Have you wanted to write your memoir or keep anjournal, but don't know where to begin? Take Introduction to Memoir Writing and Journaling for advice and help.
Get to Know Your Digital Camera with Leisha MacDougall is a two evening class where you will learn more about the settings and features available on your camera. We will discuss basic functions, exposure times, and automatic settings. This is a hands-on class so bring your digital camera with fresh batteries and the manual. Class meets on Oct. 17 and 19, 6-8 p.m. and the fee is $30.
Join Chip Griffin for Estate Planning and Elder Law for an informative one evening class on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Some of the topics he will discuss include: developing your estate plan, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and taxes. He will also talk about elder law issues such as Maine Care, and how to pay for nursing homes. The time is 6-8 p.m. and the cost is $10.
You've been taking great images with your digital camera, but now what do you do with them? In Organizing, Storing and Sending Digital Photos. Learn how to:store your photos, make them easy to find and how to access your photos to email as well as how to burn a CD and resize your images. If your photos are on a laptop bring it to class. The date is Oct. 30, 6-8 p.m. and the fee is $15.
Do you have life stories you'd like to share with your children and grandchildren? Or want to try journaling to explore your thoughts, and ideas? Get started in Intro to Memoir Writing and Journaling with Cathy Jewitt, a retired English teacher. Learn to organize your thoughts, feelings, and your life experiences as well as basic principles of memoir or journal writing. This three session class meets on Wednesdays, Oct. 25, Nov. 1 and 8 from 6-8 p.m. The fee is $36.
