Kindred Hearts concert in Waldoboro
All are invited to come to the Waldoboro Word of Life Church on Saturday, Oct. 21 for a potluck supper at 5:30 p.m. and a free gospel concert at 7 p.m. (a love offering will be taken) featuring Kindred Hearts. The gospel group is composed of siblings, Brian Woodbury, Amy Woodbury Dillon and Diane Woodbury Briggs, and their cousin (who is more like a brother), Kevin Lasselle.
This Southern Gospel singing group based in Newport, Maine has a simple mission, to spread the gospel message through song and word testimony. By doing this, it is the hope of the ministry that both believer and non-believer will be encouraged to face life’s hardships and challenges by God’s grace and renew their lives. Their goal is to build the Kingdom of God one life at a time.
Having grown up in church, Kindred Hearts’ music has been influenced by many gospel genres, but their family blend of harmonies is rooted in traditional southern gospel. Their style encompasses a mix of great southern gospel classics and traditional and contemporary worship, along with original compositions that minister to young and old alike. Many of the songs on their new CD, “Something Good,” which was just released this month, features all original songs written by the group members.
Please join us for the supper and bring something to share. The church is located at 41 Old Route 1 in Waldoboro. For more information call pastor Tom Rawley at 207- 446-3288.
