Maine Maritime Museum to present winter program series
On Feb. 8, Maine Maritime Museum in Bath will introduce a new winter educational program series, “On Deck.” The hour-long programs, which will run Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. from Feb. 6 to March 13, will cover a variety of maritime topics and feature unique storytelling and hands-on learning in a laid-back, social atmosphere.
Each week, a museum staff member or special guest will present on topics ranging from the science of steam-bending to the art collections of early sailors. Each installment will include a hands-on element and refreshments will be provided.
