6 seek 2 Wiscasset school committee seats June 11
Wiscasset has two three-year terms on the school committee up for election June 11. On the ballot are incumbent Indriani Demers along with Jonathan Barnes, Elizabeth Kyle, Gardner Leighton, Douglas Merrill and Tracey Whitney.
The other school committee member with a seat up for election, Desiree Bailey, is not seeking another term.
Attempts to reach Gardner Leighton for responses to the candidate questionnaire were unsuccessful.
