Nominations closed Monday, Jan. 22 for Alna’s March elections and one of the three seats has a two-way contest, according to information Town Clerk Sarah Perkins provided via email.

First Selectman Ed Pentaleri will be unopposed on the ballot in his bid for another two years in that seat; Shelby Biddy, who serves on Sheepscot Valley Regional School Unit’s board, will be the lone candidate on the ballot for a three-year term in that seat. And longtime road commissioner Jeffrey Verney and past longtime road commissioner Michael Trask each filed papers for the next year of that office. 

Elections are March 22.
