Blackberry Books/Gulf of Maine has just published "Ski Dreams," an autobiographical piece by Wiscasset resident Anna McDougal.
McDougal is an athlete, an artist at Spindleworks, and a downhill skier in Special Olympics. "Ski Dreams" is her story of traveling to the World Special Olympics in Austria in 2017, and of becoming the first Maine woman athlete with Down syndrome to medal at the World Games.
Earlier this year, she was inducted into Maine Sports Hall of Fame for her accomplishments.
The book comes with photos of the race and her trip. McDougal was interviewed and filmed by ESPN.
