Join us at the Merry Barn from April 19-22, to Celebrate Mother Earth in a vacation adventure for kids 7-13. Everyday will be filled with outdoor play, reading, writing, and art. We’ll examine climate change, brainstorm novel solutions to protect our communities, and get outside to experience the wonder of nature. Writers of all abilities are welcome!

We’re thrilled to have Maine author and illustrator Jamie Hogan lead campers in a hands-on workshop of illustration and storytelling! Jamie’s most recent work, “Skywatcher,” has received rave reviews from The Boston Globe and Portland Press Herald. Her work is beautifully crafted, tender, and insightful. 

The Merry Barn is committed to helping all children discover a love of words. Financial assistance is available to any child wishing to participate.
