Markings Gallery is hosting an artist reception for past and present featured artists of Northern Journeys Magazine. Northern Journeys is a magazine of the arts, humanities and sciences distributed in Midcoast Maine.

Come and meet some of the exceptional artists you have been reading about Sunday, Nov. 18 from 4-6 p.m.

The evening will be capped off with a talk by sculptor and jeweler Steve Burns. We will have a preview of Steve’s new jewelry line. Burns will talk about how he “faked it” in New York City reinventing himself as a high-level restorer of major sculpture and finer art objects for New York galleries. And about how he fought his way into the film union so he could barter his welding and model making skills into being able to work on union crews for feature films and commercials that you probably have seen.

Refreshments are generously donated by Byrnes Irish Pub of Bath.
