Boothbay campground theft investigated
Sometime overnight Sept. 10 into Sept. 11, the office of Shore Hills Campground in Boothbay was broken into and a safe was taken, the business’ co-owner Jean Reny said Sept. 11.
Between the safe and other items taken from another part of the office, the loss totaled about $10,000, Reny said.
The front door to the office of the Route 27 business was damaged in the break-in, Reny said.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Major Ken Mason on Sept. 11 said the department was investigating a theft at the campground. No further information was immediately available.
