Boothbay Food & Music Festival: Ghost of Paul Revere music headliner
The Ghost of Paul Revere will be the headlining act during the Boothbay Food & Music Festival (Sept. 20-22), taking center stage on Saturday, Sept. 22! This Maine based-band has a large following and often sells-out at their performances around Maine and beyond. The Boston Globe raved that they “create the type of music for which festivals are made.”
Tickets for the Music Fest are only $20 per person for three signature acts: Dr. Zog at 5 p.m., followed by Motor Booty Affair at 6:30 p.m. and culminating with the foot-stompin’ sounds of the Ghost of Paul Revere at 8:30 p.m. Tickets will go fast so don’t delay. What can you expect at the festival? Expect three days of Maine’s best food, beer, wine, spirits, entertainment and music for all to enjoy. There will be something for everyone!
The festival will kick-off with the popular Claw Down on the evening of Thursday, Sept. 20 from 5-9 at Boothbay Railway Village (586 Wiscasset Rd./Route 27, Boothbay. A gourmet lobster-lovers dream, top chefs compete head-to-head to bring their own unique take on the perfect lobster bite. You get to indulge in each delicious lobster bite and vote for your favorite. This 7th Annual Claw Down is co-sponsored by the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce. Tickets for the Claw Down can also be purchased at the Chamber located at 192 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor (next to Hannaford). The Claw Down is followed by live music.
The excitement continues with a Dinner Dance on Friday (Sept. 21) night, from 6-10 p.m., with decadent dining and entertainment under the tent (or the stars) at the luxurious Boothbay Harbor County Club (33 Country Club Rd., Boothbay). Rupert’s Orchestra will have you dancing all night long so be sure to bring your dancing shoes!
Family Fest will take place on Saturday the 22nd from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lots of inflatables, games, live music by Dr. Zog and performances that the whole family will enjoy including a performance by Wacky Chad of America’s Got Talent. A balloon twisting clown and caricature artist will also be on hand to interact and engage your kids.
The festival will round off with the Music Fest on Saturday night, 5-10 p.m. at Boothbay Railway Village.
This inaugural event is a community-wide effort led by local businesses leaders working together to bring this festival to the Boothbay community. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, this is a festival with a great cause!
Proceeds from the festival will benefit several local non-profit organizations, three of which are focused on helping children and young adults from our region: Boothbay Region YMCA, Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund, the Boothbay Region Community Resources Council, and Boothbay Railway Village.
