Boothbay Harbor Town Manager Tom Woodin has announced that Boothbay Harbor's fireworks display has been postponed for both July 4 and 5.

Due to the inclement weather forecast on July 4 and the projected high winds on July 5 as a result of Hurricane Arthur passing offshore, Central Maine Pyrotechnics, along with Boothbay Harbor Fire Chief Nick Upham, made the decision Thursday afternoon to postpone the fireworks until further notice. A reschedule date is to be determined.
