A Turner man has been arrested after he allegedly choked a woman in a Boothbay Harbor motel.

Stephen Entrott, 44, of Turner was arrested in Boothbay Harbor after he allegedly assaulted a woman in July. Entrott has been charged with felony domestic violence assault.

On July 16, Boothbay Harbor Police Officer Tom Chryplewicz responded to a Boothbay Harbor motel for a call of a reported domestic disturbance involving two people arguing.

When Chryplewicz arrived, Entrott answered the door. Chryplewicz reportedly found the room in disarray and a woman laying down on the bed.

Entrott allegedly admitted to shoving the victim as he looked for car keys in the motel room.

Entrott and the victim had reportedly been at a bar in Boothbay Harbor when they allegedly got into a verbal argument. According to the arrest report, Entrott reportedly “made a fool of himself” at a bar.

Chryplewicz also wrote in the arrest report that when they returned to the hotel, Entrott allegedly began squeezing the victim's neck outside the room. Once inside the room, Entrott allegedly choked the victim again.

Entrott was arrested and charged with Class B domestic violence aggravated assault.

Entrott was court-ordered to neither use nor possess any alcohol or drugs, not to have contact with the victim, not possess any dangerous weapons and to submit to searches. He will have a court date Sept. 15 in Wiscasset at the Lincoln County court house.

If convicted, Entrott could face up to 10 years in prison and up to a $20,000 fine, as aggravated assault is a Class B crime.
