Cookbooks now half-price
All cookbooks are on sale at half-price at the Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop in downtown Damariscotta, now through Friday, April 21.
According to Rosie Bensen, co-manager of the shop, “Thanks to our generous donors, we have hundreds of cookbooks available. Whether you’re an expert cook, or a beginner, or someone who’d rather not spend a lot of time in the kitchen, we probably have the right book for you.”
The shop, located at 17 Backstreet Landing, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It offers hardcover and paperback books in dozens of categories for children and adults, as well as puzzles, music CDs, records, and movies on DVD and videotape. All items are donated, all staff members are volunteers, and all proceeds support the programs and collections of Skidompha Public Library. Donations are accepted whenever the shop is open.
