CTL students’ posters recognized
Three students from the Center for Teaching and Learning were recognized by the Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water as class award winners for this year’s National Association of Conservation Districts annual poster contest: “May The Forest Be With You Always.”
Finley Barnes-Vieten won first place in the K-1 category, Quinn Gallagher won first place in the grades 2-3 category, and Elena Vito won a class honorable mention in the grades 2-3 category. From the judges, "Finley, Quinn, and Elena communicated a strong conservation message through their posters using creative and effective visuals. Congratulations, we were impressed!
Students representing 61 classrooms and 16 schools submitted over 580 posters this year. This contest invited students to engage with forests, forest ecology, and conservation as visual artists.
