Diet fads and facts is topic for Diabetes Support Group Nov. 14
LincolnHealth’s Diabetes Support Group, which is open to anyone living with diabetes or caring for a loved one with diabetes, has a meeting scheduled on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 1:30-2:30 p.m., at the new Wellness and Rehabilitation facility in the Webster Van Winkle building on the Miles campus. The address is 79 Schooner Street, Damariscotta.
Registered Dietitian Emma Adams will present “Diet Fads and Facts,” reviewing the latest diet trends, including the ketogenic diet and the Mediterranean diet. Adams will discuss the pros and cons of these diets and how they affect blood glucose levels.

The Diabetes Support Group, which holds meetings every other month on the second Tuesday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. covers topics including eye health, exercise, insulin and community resources. There is no cost to attend.
