This year’s Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary’s Grand and Glorious Yard Sale is guaranteed to be even more grand and glorious than the past 23 years, due to the out pouring of generous donations by the Midcoast community. People have donated the entire contents of homes and apartments. Retail stores, like Now You’re Cooking in Bath, have made generous donations.

“We have three stores FULL of new and gently used donated merchandise,” said Cyndy Bush, president of the Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary. “The Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary is entirely run on volunteer power. We have a membership of close to 400 and these people work throughout the calendar year fundraising for critical hospital projects and the health career scholarship fund.”

The Yard Sale is presented as a suite of boutiques at Merrymeeting Plaza in Brunswick on Saturday, May 20, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, May 21, 9 a.m. to noon.

The Preview Party will be held on Friday, May 19, 6 to 8:30 p.m. to allow community members the chance to purchase in advance of the public sale. Preview Party tickets are $20 each and are available for purchase at Mid Coast Hospital’s Gift Shop and Gulf of Maine Books in Brunswick, and Now You’re Cooking in Bath. Preview Party tickets will be available at the door for $25 the night of the event.

Proceeds from this event benefit a pledge to Mid Coast Hospital toward a new MRI machine and Health Career Scholarships for local students graduating in a health related field.
