Driver taken to hospital after Wiscasset rollover

The driver in a rollover accident on Wiscasset’s Foye Road on Saturday received apparent minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Day said.
The accident was reported at 1:19 p.m. Nov. 1, Day said at the scene. The accident happened near a curve, Day said.
The driver was able to get out of the car on his own, Wiscasset Deputy Fire Chief John Merry said.
Sheriff’s officers, Wiscasset Ambulance Service and the Wiscasset Fire Department worked at the scene. Traffic was slowed in both directions while emergency crews waited for a tow truck to arrive for the car.
No further information, including the driver’s identity, was immediately available.
