Edgecomb Eddy students were rewarded for their physical activity during an April 27 medal ceremony held in the school. Redy Let’s Go, Healthy Lincoln County’s mascot, awarded gold and silver medals to students in the Paddlin’ to Poland Challenge.
Students who did a half hour of physical activity per day for seven weeks did the equivalent of traveling from Edgecomb to Poland, according to the challenge’s sponsors, Lincoln Health and Healthy Lincoln County. These students received silver medals.
Those who did one hour of physical activity did the equivalent of walking from Edgecomb to Poland and back over the seven week period, according to the sponsors.
