Edgecomb three charged in China store theft
State Police on Feb. 4 arrested three residents of an Edgecomb home and charged them in connection with a theft from a store in the town of China. The theft allegedly happened three days before Christmas.
The trio allegedly stole grow lights from Laverdiere’s General Store and then traded the items for heroin hours later, State Police Lt. Aaron Hayden said. Arrested Thursday at their home on McKay Road in Edgecomb were Mark James, 49, Lisa Gosselin, 40, and Tricia Barry, 42.
All were charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer. Barry also had two unrelated arrest warrants issued for her out of Kennebec County. Maine Drug Enforcement Agency agents and Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies helped with the arrests and a search of the home. James, Gosselin and Barry were taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset.
The theft allegedly took place Dec. 22, involving grow lights valued at more than $500. The lights have not been recovered.
