Saturday, Nov. 2 during the Maine Chapter of American Association of Teachers of French’s (AATF-ME) fall meeting at University of Southern Maine in Portland, retired Wiscasset Middle High School French teacher Irene Marchenay of Edgecomb received a lifetime achievement award.
“I would like to thank all who were involved in this incredible surprise and tell the new generation of French teachers, ours is a wonderful profession,” Marchenay told Wiscasset Newspaper on Sunday.
