Family Harvest Day
Saturday, Oct. 1 started out overcast and quite cool, but it didn’t keep families from heading to Boothbay Railway Village Museum for some annual Family Harvest Day fun and, eventually, some sun!
The barrel train for the wee ones was fired up and traveling round the Village Green, the steam train whistle blew all morning and afternoon announcing another turn around the Village, and the hay wagon was always full of families heading to the pumpkin patch.
Members of the Y Arts group performed throughout the day. During some of their time on stage they welcomed youngsters up on stage to dance or sing along.
Lori Reynolds, director of marketing and events, said just under 400 people attended. “Everyone always has a fun time, it’s a great event for families. Now we’re gearing up for Fall Foliage Festival this weekend. And, the Y Arts group will be back!”
