LincolnHealth accepting applications for spring CNA course
LincolnHealth is accepting applications for the spring Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class, which begins on April 18. Becoming a CNA is a great way to begin a rewarding career in healthcare and the class is free.
CNAs are important caregivers in every part of LincolnHealth. Many graduates of the program are currently working throughout LincolnHealth at the hospital, in practices, or at assisted living, long-term care, skilled rehabilitation, and memory care facilities.
Those who are accepted into the CNA course may apply to the Apprenticeship Program which allows them to be paid while they learn in exchange for a commitment to working at a long-term care facility affiliated with LincolnHealth for 18 months following graduation.
Although acceptance into the Apprenticeship Program does not guarantee employment after graduation, every effort is made to place graduates in jobs based on staffing needs and the apprentice’s qualifications. Class size is limited, so only a few applicants will be selected.
For more information about the CNA course and to learn how to apply, please call the LincolnHealth Education Department at 563-4540.
