It’s time to stock up for your spring and summer bird-feeding to get birds through the nesting season when they need lots of energy. Mid-Coast Audubon will be accepting bird seed orders through Saturday, Feb. 15 to raise funds to support bird conservation and education programming.

Five varieties are available: Black oil sunflower seed, sunflower meaties (hulled), Melody Mix , thistle (nyger), and suet blocks. Orders can be placed online at https://midcoast-audubon.square.site/.

Seed must be picked up on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to noon at one of two locations you will be asked to specify: Plants Unlimited, 629 Commercial St (Route 1) in Rockport, or Lincoln County Publishing, 116 Mills Rd., Newcastle.  

According to MCA President, Jeff Cherry, “Replenishing your bird seed supply with the Mid-Coast Audubon Seed Sale is a win for the birds you feed, a win for your enjoyment of more birds visiting your yard, and a win for keeping our programs and properties, including a speaker series, field trips, environmental education grants, and preserve trails, free and open to all with the support of proceeds from this sale.”
