Mismatch fun at WES
Recently at Wiscasset Elementary School, students were strutting their own style – in a mismatched way. Students had once again filled the school pom pom jug by being Safe, Responsible and Respectful and thus had earned another celebration.
A week earlier, WES hosted “Mr. Drew and his animals too.” Students were a respectful audience by quietly listening, raising hands when they had questions and waiting patiently for their turn to visit with the various animals. Principal Amy Bayha was so impressed, she felt all students deserved a pom pom for their respectful behavior. “I was very proud of them all.”
During Mismatched Day, students wore stripes, polka dots and plaid, different shoes and socks and all kinds of mismatched hair styles. Spirits were high as we celebrated together all the students who made great choices by being Safe, Responsible and Respectful.
