Music@Dusk Series presents TONE
Bay Chamber Concerts presents the opening concert of its Music@Dusk series, TONE, Friday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. in Union Hall, 24 Central St. in Rockport.
Born from a mutual love of jazz harmony, lilting melody, and timeless poetry, TONE features vocalist Sarah Elizabeth Charles and pianist Jarrett Cherner. Sarah is a rising vocalist/composer based in New York City. She has played at The White House, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, the Bern International Jazz Festival, and many more. Her musical output has been described as a "genre of one" (DownBeat Magazine), "soulfully articulate" (New York Times) and "an unmatched sound" (Jay Z’s Life+Times).
Brooklyn-based pianist, composer and bandleader Jarrett Cherner has captivated listeners with his lyricism, technical facility and consistently evolving musical vision. Originally from San Francisco, he garnered praise as “… one of the most exciting young pianist-composers on the Bay Area scene ...” from the San Jose Mercury News. He has toured throughout the U.S. as well as South America, Canada, Mexico and Europe, as both a leader and sideman.
Music@Dusk is an hour-long performance where concert goers can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine in the intimate setting of Union Hall.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for those under the age of 25. For more information: info@baychamberconcerts.org; 207-236-2823 or visit www.baychamberconcerts.org.
