NHS donates to Veggies to Table

Wiscasset Middle High School National Honor Society members honored the non-profit organization Veggies to Table with a $225 check. The donation was made possible through the sale of handmade masks and aprons and a penny war.
WMHS NHS President Madison Westrich believed this money would be appropriate for the spring as owners Erica Berman and Alain Ollier envision building a greenhouse on the property. Berman and Ollier were extremely grateful for the donation.
Berman stated, “One in five kids in our community go to bed hungry daily.” Veggies to Tables grows organic produce and flowers to donate to local people experiencing food insecurity, and to create community through volunteerism and educate people on healthy food.
