Opera Maine presents a very special concert featuring soprano Alaysha Fox and baritone Grant Jackson with pianist Timothy Steele at The Waldo on Friday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m. Bringing Opera to the stage for the first time at The Waldo, this show will have you experience extraordinary singing of opera favorites with a dash of musical theater.

You'll be able to see Alaysha and Grant featured in Opera Maine's production of “Aida” at Merrill Auditorium Thursday, July 25 and Sunday, July 28. Opera Maine is dedicated to providing creative and inspiring opera productions and other performances of artistic excellence and ensuring that they are accessible to and representative of our community. As an organization that fosters young operatic talent while providing educational opportunities related to opera it seeks to engage audiences in ways that excite enthusiasm for the artform.

Over its 29 year history, Opera Maine has presented many of the world’s favorite operas, from Mozart to Puccini. Under the artistic direction of Dona D.Vaughn and the musical direction of such internationally renowned conductors as Stephen Lord and Israel Gursky, Opera Maine’s productions have been widely acclaimed. Outstanding performers have ranged from rising young stars to Kate Aldrich and the legendary James Morris.

Online tickets are available for $20 in advance, $25 the day of the event, with limited front row seats available. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7:30.
