River Arts’ new manager
River Arts is pleased to announce the appointment of a new gallery manager, Amy Appell. With a varied background in her employment primarily in education, Appell brings skills that will be valuable in her new management roll. In addition to teaching, she has managed her own business and blog where she has developed her office skills and computer savvy.
Appell studied elementary education and psychology at Central Connecticut State University and Charlotte Mason College in England. She also continued her education with graduate courses at the University of Massachusetts. While living abroad, Appell pursued her strong appreciation for the arts by visiting many art museums in western Europe.
In discussing her excitement about her new position at River Arts Appell said, “Upon first visiting River Arts gallery last summer, I was dazzled by the diversity of mediums displayed. Since then, I recognize it as a gem of a gallery. Needless to say, I am thrilled to be the new gallery manager at River Arts. My goal is to entice everyone to visit, in order to see the variety, and become inspired!”
