Self-Care Learning Exchange April 7
The past two years of COVID have made us all keenly aware of both our physical and mental health. We've all developed coping skills--some healthy, and some not so much. The importance of addressing our own self care has never been timelier. So many of us in the Boothbay region take care of others; but we neglect self care. This is not a good way to stay healthy!
The World Health Organization defines self care as: “the ability of individuals, families, and communities to promote health, prevent disease, maintain health, and to cope with illness and disability with or without the support of a healthcare provider.”
The Boothbay Regional Health Center will host a virtual Self-Care Learning Exchange on Thursday, April 7 at noon. Please join Cathy Fisher, licensed clinical social worker who will highlight self care assessment and planning. Participants will hear about strategies to respond to the emergency need for self care, as well as how to improve their daily self care routines. Everyone should come prepared to share self care strategies that have worked in their own lives.
You'll find the instructions for accessing the Learning Exchange Zoom on the BoothbayHealthCare.org website home page.
