For years Bremen artist, Kim Hetherington and Jefferson artist, Carol Wiley have met in each other’s studios to paint together.  Often, they have tackled the same subject.  The results are always different and often surprisingly so.

A new show at River Arts West Gallery, “Shared Views,” features pairs of work that the two painters have done together.  What they hope the viewer will find interesting is how different two works of art painted at the same time of the same subject can be.  Other work by each artist will also be available for purchase.

On Saturday, Aug. 25, Wiley and Hetherington will be painting together in the West Gallery at River Arts from noon to 4 p.m. Please come by to meet the artists.  Refreshments will be available.

“Shared Views” will hang in the gallery from Thursday, Aug. 23 until Thursday, Sept. 13.

River Arts is located at 241 U.S. Route 1  in Damariscotta. Gallery hours are:  Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m to 4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
