‘Sister Act’ completes Maine State Music Theater lineup
Maine State Music Theater (MSMT) is thrilled to announce “Sister Act” as the second show of the much-anticipated 57th season.
The show run will be June 24 to July 11.
“‘Sister Act’ combines heart and joy to create musical theater magic on stage,” Artistic Director Curt Dale Clark said. “The performances will knock your socks off.”
Filled with uplifting gospel music, outrageous comedy and dancing, “Sister Act” tells the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime and the cops hide her in the last place anyone would think to look — a convent.
Under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own.
“Sister Act” joins “The Full Monty,” “The Music Man” and “Young Frankenstein” as MSMT's show-stopping 2015 season.
Single tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. on April 29. Buy a subscription now by calling the box office at 207-725-8769 or visit us at www.msmt.org.
