Special music guest at church service
Special guest Nick MacDonald, a singer, conductor, composer and educator based in Portland, will lead a musical service at the Midcoast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on Sunday, March 16. His fellow musician, John Adams, will assist as the worship associate for the morning.
MacDonald serves as Choral Director for grades 4-12 at the Waynflete School, where he also teaches music history, theory and elementary general music classes. He is the inaugural choral director for the Portland Conservatory's Teen Choir at Mayo Street Arts, which offers opportunities in the arts to underprivileged youth in the Portland area.
As a church musician, Nick has led music for worship at the Harvard Unitarian Universalist Ministry for Students, Ferry Beach Camp & Conference Center, Star Island, the Winchester Unitarian Society and the First Parish Church of Kennebunks. He also serves as a guest musical worship leader, troubadour and song leader throughout the Northeast.
The Fellowship welcomes everyone, every Sunday at 10:30 a.m., in the Porter Auditorium of Skidompha Library in Damariscotta. Entrance is through the door on Elm Street.
