“Lion King” -  ** Special Preview Night: Thursday, July 18, 6 p.m. ** -  From Disney Live Action, director Jon Favreau's all-new "The Lion King" journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. Scar, Mufasa's brother — and former heir to the throne — has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba's exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

“Late Night” -  Katherine Newbury (Dame Emma Thompson) is a pioneer and legendary host on the late-night talk-show circuit. When she's accused of being a "woman who hates women," she puts affirmative action on the to-do list, and --presto!-- Molly (Mindy Kaling) is hired as the one woman in Katherine's all-male writers' room. But Molly might be too little too late, as the formidable Katherine also faces the reality of low ratings and a network that wants to replace her. Wanting to prove she's not merely a diversity hire who's disrupting the comfort of the brotherhood, Molly is determined to help Katherine revitalize her show and career--and possibly effect even bigger change at the same time. “ The Madness of George III” - National Theatre Live Encore - It’s 1786 and King George III is the most powerful man in the world. But his behavior is becoming increasingly erratic as he succumbs to fits of lunacy. With the King’s mind unravelling at a dramatic pace, ambitious politicians and the scheming Prince of Wales threaten to undermine the power of the Crown and expose the fine line between a King and a man. The cast includes Olivier Award-winners Mark Gatiss (Sherlock, Wolf Hall, NT Live Coriolanus) in the title role, and Adrian Scarborough (Gavin and Stacey, Upstairs Downstairs, After the Dance). Written by one of Britain’s best-loved playwrights Alan Bennett (The History Boys, The Lady in the Van), this epic play was also adapted into a BAFTA Award-winning film following its premiere on stage in 1991. “Mimi’s Song” - VentiCordi (translation: winds and strings) Chamber Music -  VentiCordi returns to the Lincoln Theater stage with our 2019 summer concert, “Mimi’s Song,” which includes  W.A. Mozart - Quartet for Flute, Violin, Viola, Cello; Grazyna Bacewicz - Trio for Oboe, Violin, Cello; Heitor Villa-Lobos - Assobio a Jato for Flute, Cello; Bill Matthews - 3 Duos for Oboe and Violin; and Malcolm Arnold - Quartet for Oboe, Violin, Viola, Cello.

VentiCordi is a musical collaboration between oboist Kathleen McNerney and violinist Dean Stein, combining their love of chamber music with innovative programming that blends wind and string instruments. Joined by Eileen Holt, Flute; Russell Wilson, Viola; and Ashima Scripp, cello. Live on stage Wednesday, July 24, 7 p.m.  Tickets are $20/adult, $15/senior, and $5/youth 18 and under. “The Audience” - National Theatre Live Encore - Don’t miss Academy Award winner Dame Helen Mirren (The Queen), as she plays Queen Elizabeth II in the Tony Award winning production of The Audience. Written by Peter Morgan, directed by Stephen Daldry, and captured live from London’s West End in 2013, the original broadcast returns to cinemas to mark National Theatre Live’s 10th birthday. For 60 years, Queen Elizabeth II has met with each of her 12 prime ministers in a private weekly meeting. This meeting is known as The Audience. No one knows what they discuss, not even their spouses. From the old warrior Winston Churchill, to Iron Lady Margaret Thatcher and finally David Cameron, the Queen advises her prime ministers on all matters both public and personal. Through these private audiences, we see glimpses of the woman behind the crown and witness the moments that shaped a monarch.
