“Infinite Storm” – (R; 1 hour, 44 minutes) - An experienced climber (Naomi Watts) ascends New Hampshire’s Mt. Washington, but turns back before she reaches the summit as a huge blizzard approaches. On her way down, she encounters a lone, stranded man, and takes it upon herself to get them both down the mountain before nightfall arrives and they succumb to the storm. Based on a true story. “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” – (PG-13; fantasy, action violence) - This is the third installment of J.K. Rowling’s “Fantastic Beasts” series. Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches, and one brave Muggle baker, on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald's growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines? Cast includes Mads Mikkelsen, Katherine Waterston, Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law. With guest speaker, Dr. Jeffrey Wells, Vice President of Boreal Conservation for the National Audubon Society. This documentary is an artful investigation into the causes of songbird mass depletion and the people working to turn the tide. This visually thrilling film reveals how the issues facing birds also pose daunting implications for our planet. Dr. Wells has connections to this film and will be sharing information on the birds of Maine and beyond, the plights they face, and what can be done about it.
