Windjammer week concerts at the Opera House
Tim Sample: Thursday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m. Boothbay Harbor's hometown boy returns to the Opera House with some new and old witty ditties.
Tim released his first CD in 30 years, "Bert & I ... Rebooted," last fall, and it's some mighty good stuff. He's done it all: written books, performed stand up, hosted “Postcards From Maine,” recorded numerous CDs/albums, done motivational speaking engagements, and man, can this guy craft a story.
Come and hear what observations Tim has made of the world, and, more to the point, people, as only a Mainer could tell it.
The Mallett Brothers: Friday, June 27 at 8 p.m. Portland-based alternative country-rock band that features two of folk singer David Mallet's sons (Luke and Will) with Brian Higgins on drums, Nick Leen on bass, Nate Soule on mandolin, guitar (acoustic and electric), and Wally Wenzel on dobro and electric guitar.
The band formed in 2009, and has made three albums, toured with Travis Tritt, Toby Keith and .38 Special, among others.
Dispatch Magazine calls them a “six-piece living inferno.”
Sounds like a show too hot to miss!
