Wiscasset hires new police officer
The Wiscasset Police Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Nadean Crossley to fill the full-time officer vacancy created when Sergeant Simmons was promoted. Officer Crossley has been a reserve officer with the department since August of 2015.
While employed as a reserve officer, Officer Crossley demonstrated a “can do” attitude in every task she attempted or completed. She also works for the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Department as a judicial marshal, transport deputy and corrections officer. Her supervisors submitted outstanding reference letters to be attached to Officer Crossley’s letter of interest to the interior posting of the position.
We anticipate Officer Crossley will attend the upcoming Basic Law Enforcement Training Program (BLETP) at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in August.
Officer Crossley is expected to begin working in a full-time capacity around the end of February. We are excited to have her join the Wiscasset PD team.
