Wreath-making class at Veggies to Table Dec. 7
Get into the festive spirit by joining Veggies to Table for a fun-filled session of holiday wreath making! Veggies to Table, a grow-to-donate farm will be hosting a wreath-making class with Sofia Doe on Saturday, Dec. 7, in our greenhouse on the farm. All funds raised will help us feed hungry people in our community.
The Newcastle nonprofit has donated more than 77,000 pounds of top-quality produce and 94,850 flowers since their inception in 2019. As over 1 in 7 Mainers go hungry each day and 43% of school children rely on school meals daily, the need for accessible, nutritious food is vital.
This hands-on event will teach you how to create your very own unique modern semi-wreath to adorn your door this holiday season. No experience necessary. Sofia Doe of Perception Greenspace will guide you every step of the way. Mixed greenery foraged from the Veggies to Table property will be provided along with other wild and herbaceous accents.
Located in Midcoast Maine, Perception Greenspace Design guides organizations to build nourishing spaces through social landscapes & interior plantscapes. Their ecological designs foster community well-being and deeper connection to ourselves, each other, and the natural environment.
The event will be hosted on the Veggies to Table’s farm from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost of the event is $50.
