Multi-media artist, Gerd Koehler, is featured in an appropriately titled show “Kaleidoscope,” in River Arts’ West Gallery.  “Kaleidoscope” will show from Sept. 27 to Oct. 10. The public is invited to the Gala Reception on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 4-6 pm. Come and meet the artist and enjoy the refreshments.

 

Gerd, a long-time resident of Maine, emigrated from his native Germany and retired from a career in printing and the graphic arts integrating new technology solutions in manufacturing, sales and marketing organizations. He has worked in Germany, England, Switzerland and the Americas.

 

A varied experience in a life time of travel has given him a unique and wide ranging perspective in his artist expressions. His photos, graphic prints, paintings and drawings provide an array of artistic production that covers a wide range of interest and creativity. His popular photos of ocean waves interact with complex abstractions from imaginary sources in an exciting play between reality and imagination.

 

River Arts is located at 241 U.S. Route 1 in Damariscotta.  Gallery hours are Tuesday - Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
