The Kefauver Studio & Gallery, Damariscotta, is calling for artists to participate in “The Little Holiday Show” art show, running from Nov. 16 through Jan. 2.

This show will feature artwork that is small in size but big in impact, and priced to suit a range of holiday budgets, so work should follow these guidelines. Artists may submit original artwork, or note cards, prints, ornaments, etc., based on original creations. Work celebrating any of the December holidays is welcome!
 
All mediums will be considered, including oil, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, photographs, sculpture, and wood block prints. Work must be ready for hanging or displaying (framed or painted edges, wired for hanging). Some print/note card racks and pedestals will be available for display. A small holiday tree will be available to display ornaments.

Several artists will be selected to present their work at the show. All entries should be submitted as jpegs and sent to will@kefauverstudio.com.  The Gallery will consider up to five images of original artwork and up to five additional images of other work such as note cards or ornaments.
 
Deadline for submission is Friday, Nov. 2 and drop-off of accepted work will be Monday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery is located at 144 Bristol Rd.  There is no fee for entering, but a $15 fee will be charged to cover all accepted works to help with exhibition costs.

The artist may price the work as he/she likes, but the work should be priced reasonably for sale. No NFS works will be accepted. All sales and sales taxes will be handled by the Gallery, as will shipping, if necessary. The gallery commission is 35 percent. In the event of a sale, the artist may replace the work sold, but this is not a requirement.
 
The show will be advertised through press releases and advertisements in the local papers. Additionally, the event will be posted on the Kefauver Studio & Gallery website.
 
An Artists’ Reception, open to the public, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
