Come to Bath’s STEM Night April 24
The Bath Elementary PTA and Bath Iron Works have partnered with the Maine Maritime Museum, Chewonki, Patten Free Library, University of Maine, Now You’re Cooking, Maine State Aquarium, Shelter Institute, KELT, Maine’s First Ship, BRCTC, Girls Scouts, BTS Maine, Garbage to Garden and many more … to create Bath’s first ever STEM Night.
This event will be the biggest STEM Night in the Midcoast. Over 25 companies, organizations, clubs and schools will be supporting the Bath Elementary PTA ’s first science, technology, engineering and mathematics night, which is expected to attract over 300 students and their families from all Bath area towns and beyond.
This free event will be taking place in the Bath Middle School gym and cafeteria April 24 from 5-6:30 p.m. Bath has a long history of grit, hard work, ingenuity and innovation. Today’s Bath is stepping up to future proof its community. Historically a city of ship builders, Bath is setting a course for becoming a city who builds ideas. Starting with our schools, the Bath Elementary PTA is focused on events providing our students and families the opportunity to learn, have fun, share ideas, and interact with local resources and opportunities in the STEM fields. With the help of parents, teachers and local organizations, the Bath Elementary PTA’s STEM Night will expose students to an entertaining hands on lesson in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 3-D printing, laser scanning, drone flight, and robotic powered vehicles (to name a few).
